Helping You Develop The Wealth Creation Mindset Through Real Life Examples

About Me

Dear Readers,

I welcome you all to my personal finance and mindfulness blog where I will share with you ideas related to wealth creation, the lessons I have learnt from my journey as an investor and developing the right mindset for overall success in your financial and personal life.

The reason why I came up with the name Introspecting Investor is that introspection is a very powerful tool for self analysis where the mind watches itself. When the mind is aware of its own thoughts it can fix financial problems, emotional issues and analyze its own habit patterns.

By introspecting I am able to keep my Ego aside, see my mistakes and rectify them. You can apply mindfulness or introspection to all spheres of your life.

My name is Vaibhav and I am an equity investor since 2013. From 2007 to early 2013 I was living pay check to pay check and realized that a regular job cannot make you wealthy. Another thing I felt was that the money you get while being employed is most of the times not commensurate with the effort you put in. It was then that I decided to quit my job and to learn the fundamentals of stock market investing myself.

It was really tough in the beginning as there was no longer an assurance of a fixed salary at the end of each month. To add to this was the volatility in stock market where fixed income cannot be guaranteed.

It was also tough to understand the financial statements of companies or understand the technical analysis but by persisting a bit longer with the problems I slowly gained the requisite skills for becoming a good investor.

The only good thing I did in 2013 was to buy stocks of wonderful companies as they kept falling. Yes there was a lot of pressure to make a living but I just kept investing despite the fear of failure. As October 2013 approached these stocks began to fly and made me the investor I am today.

Over the years I have realized that becoming rich is not just about financial numbers but a big percentage of success can be attributed to the right mindset. For example, avoiding debt, understanding the asset in detail before investing, overcoming emotions of fear and greed, a knack for reading and learning new things are some traits that can be found in those who are wealthy.

I am here to share with you the following:

  1. Wealth creation ideas
  2. Avoiding traits that destroy wealth
  3. The right mindset for overall success in all spheres of life
